Abby is a beautiful back and tan female European German shepherd. She is a product of a show line and she is an IPO2 certified protection dog. Born September 12, 2013 , Abby possesses all of the fundamental traits essential for protection dog training. She has strong drive and desire to defeat her target. Abby also has a strong need to please her handler.
PERSONALITY
Abby has a sweet personality and she loves to play. She is great with kids and she will make a great indoor protection dog. Abby has a strong “pack” personality. This means she has a desire to be a part of the family and she will fearlessly defend her pack/family.
PROTECTION QUALITIES & TRAINING
Abby is no rookie to protection dog training. She has been trained in protection-dog sports since she was a pup. Although she is a certified “IPO-2” in protection-dog sports; the certification really represents only the first stage of her training. The IPO certification ensures that she is CAPABLE of being a full-fledged protection dog, but it doesn’t not mean that the dog WILL perform in a real scenario.
Now past her certification training, Abby gets daily protection dog training that extends well beyond typical IPO certifications. This specialized training is designed to ensure that Abby will perform her tasks with efficiency in all conditions; under great pressure and in the face of resistance. She has all of the necessary skills for protection dogs (good internal “prey” drive, solid nerves, high intelligence and the built-in desire to win / defeat her prey) but her final stages are mostly psychological conditioning. We are building her confidence and conditioning her nerves so she performs without hesitation, in any setting and in every situation.
